The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) took effect in the UK on 25.05.18.  It has replaced the existing law on data protection (the DPA 1998) and gives individuals more rights and protection regarding how their personal data is used by Councils.  Local Councils and Parish meetings must comply with its requirements, just like any other organisation.

To ensure the Community Council is complying with the new regulations, the following policies have been adopted;

SNBCC Privacy Policy Adopted 04.06.18

SNBCC Retention Policy Adopted 04.06.18

As an individual, you have a right to access your data; you can make a subject access request verbally or in writing.  The Council will respond to your request within 20 working days.  There is no fee for submitting a subject access request.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Community Council only hold a record of minutes dating from 2013 onwards.
