St Nicholas with Bonvilston Community Council

Residents in the Vale of Glamorgan will soon be receiving a letter and leaflet explaining upcoming changes to black bag collections.

From 03 September 2018 Households will only be able to put out a maximum of two black bags of household waste for collection every fortnight -

We're proud to say that we currently recycle 64% of our waste, but we do need to reach 70% to meet the Welsh Government’s recycling targets, or the Council may be fined.

To coincide with changes to black bag collections, from 03 September 2018 there will also be changes to Household Waste Recycling Centres - Studies show that around 60% of waste put in black bags can be recycled, either through our kerbside recycling service or at one of our recycling centres. Vale residents currently recycle 64% of their waste. With these changes we hope that we can meet the Welsh Government’s recycling targets of 70%.
